If you have a Broken Lease, Eviction, or owe another property money, it can be very difficult to get aproved at another apartment community. It is in your best interest to disclose whether or not you have one in your past, it will save you time and money. Properties dont care what happened to you to cause the broken lease or eviction, they only care that it is showing up on your credit. YOU WILL BE DENIED at most properties if you have one. Dont waste your time applying at random properties hoping that it won't show up on you credit, If you broke a lease or have been evicted IT WILL SHOW UP. You will end up giving away your hard earned money on application fees hopeing that a property will accept you. I will not lie, you will be very limited in your options, but there ARE properties in Austin that will work with Broken Leases. You will be more limited with an eviction than a broken lease. The difference is - a Broken Lease means you left the property on your own terms in the middle of a lease; an Eviction means that you were physically removed from the property for failure to pay rent or sometimes other circumstances.
